About This Event
Organized by the Centre for Healthcare Engineering and Learning (cHEAL), PES University, HEAL-A-Thon 2026 is a 10-hour state-level healthcare hackathon that brings together students passionate about healthcare and technology.
The hackathon is designed to foster innovation in digital health, medical technology, and patient-centered solutions. Participants will collaborate in teams to solve real-world healthcare challenges through creative problem-solving, prototyping, and technical implementation.
It provides a platform to transform impactful ideas into practical solutions with guidance from mentors and domain experts.
Format
Team-based competition (3–4 members per team)
10-hour offline hackathon
Problem statements released at the start of the event
Mentor review rounds during development
Final pitch presentation before expert jury
Evaluation based on innovation, feasibility, technical implementation, impact, and presentation

mHealth – Mobile and digital solutions to improve patient care and accessibility
AI in Healthcare – AI/ML-based diagnostics, prediction, and healthcare analytics
Healthcare Systems & Devices – Smart systems, IoT, and assistive medical technologies
Public Health & Preventive Care – Community health, monitoring, and awareness solutions
