Mr Coates

Deputy Consul-General Technical
  • Mr Coates took up post as Deputy Consul-General in July 2024. He is a career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was most recently Assistant Director at DFAT’s National Foundation for Australia-China Relations in Sydney. He previously served overseas in Beijing and Shenyang, China. He holds a Bachelor of Communications from University of Newcastle and a Master of International Politics from Peking University.
